Call for Presenters

Share the experiences of your group with those attending from around Australia. Be it a quick eight-minute presentation or a more lengthy workshop, we welcome your group's suggestions.

SEEKING PRESENTATIONS on the theme / sub-themes of ..
‘THE CHALLENGE OF CHANGE’: Relationships, Volunteering, Climate and Technology

Individuals and groups are invited to make presentations and run workshops for the 2024 Conference. Below is a program summary showing in bold the opportunities available.

Please use the separate form to outline your proposed presentation AND/OR workshop. A further callout for submissions for the Rapid Fire session will be made after that for a deadline of mid-February 2024.

We are seeking three types of Member presentations:

4 Speakers x 15 mins - one each per sub-theme and linked to the main theme; whole-group session; organisers will select four only, so please submit something by the deadline.
4 Breakout Workshops x 40 mins - ‘Things We want to change’; facilitate + present your views + field inputs from other BG’s; four only to be selected, one per sub-theme.
6 ‘Our Story’ x 8mins - Rapid Fire session; short presentations to whole group; anything about your BG, incl. Q & A time; early expressions of interest welcome for a mid-February deadline.

Sunday 25 August -

Sunshine Coast Council: Community Education.
Community Partners (Sunshine Coast): ‘Collaborating for Change’.
4 Theme Workshops - 4 Facilitator/Presenters, 40 min each: ‘Things We want to change’, drawn from one of the sub-themes; a solution-based session on your achievements or plans + ideas for action from other participants.
Rapid Fire session / 6 Botanic Gardens : 8 min each, inc. Q & A, on your BG/Group.

THEME WORKSHOP*, Sun. 25 August, 40 minutes, 4 break-out locations, group of 15-20 pax.

* Workshops will provide for discussion and compilation of participants’ ideas and information for feedback via Conference Proceedings; Organisers will provide practical support and facilitators as required; Presenters will be expected to run their workshop based on a sound base of theory and/or practice, and produce a written summary of workshop outcomes (250 words + tables etc. negotiable).
