Spectacular gardens, rich historic and botanical offerings and the wildflower-dense beauty of the Southern Highlands await you on this new tour from the AAFBG.
Travel from Sydney to explore the magnificent gardens of Camden Park House in Menangle, which were established by John and Elizabeth MacArthur before 1830 – several years before the elegant Georgian house, which lays claim to being one of Australia’s most notable colonial homes, containing rare and beautiful furniture, cedar joinery and ironbark floors.
Visit Jean VIillani historic private garden, the Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens and Sturt’s Gallery Garden in Bowral; walk in the Fitzroy Falls National Park and visit Berrima for an historic town walk and lunch at Bendooley Estate.
Visit 400+ hectares of natural woodland, stunning gardens and wide, open spaces and over 4000 plant species in the Australian Botanic Gardens of Mt Annan. Other visits include the elegant 5-acre Prittlewell Garden in Fitzroy Falls, a full day at Oldbury Farm in Moss Vale and Coombe Wood Gardens in Sutton Forest.
Along the way, enjoy delicious local produce and be guided and informed by both the botanical knowledge and experience of your tour leaders and local botanical experts.
It’s been claimed that the most extensive gardens of the Southern Highlands are those created by
Nature herself – this is truly a tour with wonder at every turn.
