Friends of the Benalla Botanic Gardens and Riverine Parklands Inc.

  • Welcome drinks at The Benalla Art Gallery by the Broken River on Friday evening hosted by the Mayor of Benalla.
  • Speaker presentations on Saturday/Sunday at the Benalla Performing Arts and Convention Centre with Dr Lucy Sutherland, Director of Adelaide Botanical Gardens, Chris Russell, Director of Cranbourne RBG, John Hawker, Heritage Officer Heritage Victoria and others.
  • AAFBG AGM on Sunday at 11:15 am.
  • Morning Tea and Lunch provided both days.
  • ‘Gardens as Glue’ AAFBG Members’ Presentations, Sunday.
  • Conference Dinner on Saturday Night at the Benalla Community Centre.
  • Tour of the Benalla Botanic Gardens, a Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden with afternoon tea provided by students of Benalla College.
  • Optional Winton Wetlands tour and "Breakfast with the Birds" on 22nd April - Sunday morning.
  • And / or - Sunday afternoon - Garden visit to 'Belvedere' for afternoon tea  (Sunday afternoon option unavailable to Melbourne Coach travellers).
  • Optional Coach - Friday 20th April - Melbourne Southern Cross 11am / Tullamarine Airport 12pm/ Benalla 2:30pm.  Return Sunday 22nd April - Benalla 3pm - Tullamarine Airport 5:30pm / Southern Cross 6:30pm.
